A New Year - A New Soul - A New Beginning
Gospel Reading
Luke 2:16-21 Feast of the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.
"But Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart."
Wishing you and your families a very Happy New Year filled with inner peace, ‘enough’ abundance and a joyful hope! We love how the first day of every new year is dedicated to the wonderful Jewish woman, Mary of Nazareth. She, more than anyone in history, stretched the boundaries of faith to unthinkable limits and became ‘the mother of God’. Our mantra too might become in our ‘new beginnings’ of a life we have not yet lived to the fullest… ‘Nothing is impossible with God.’
The human journey from Bethlehem to Jerusalem for Jesus, the Christ was nurtured and supported by Mary and Joseph. It was a very ordinary life. They modelled for all of us a way to embrace the joys and struggles that are integral to belonging to the human family. May we be comforted that we need each other and at times we bring the gift of … ‘are not our hearts burning’ … to the other walking beside us. All of us are inching our way towards being ‘the more’ - yes, more Light and more Love radiating through us to the world around us.
I invite you to take a few moments of pause and enjoy these words of inspiration.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 TO OUR WORLD!!
